All,
I have an AlphaPC64 that came to me with ARC firmware. I need to update
this to SRM in order to install Tru64 (en-route from Compaq as I write
this). To get a head start on the setup, I borrowed the Alpha Systems
Firmware Update v5.1 CD from a friend. Problem is, I can't figure out
which firmware to use (nothing for AlphaPC that I can find) nor how to
install it. The "dmcc21064a" was the closest that I could find, but it is
not recognized by the ARC "Update Firmware" function.
Can someone please shed some light on this? The vendor that sold me the
board claims that it "..supports Digital Unix..". Others on this list
have implied it as well. I'm starting to wonder if I've wasted my money.
