thanks for the assistance

I just wanted to take the time to thank all the people who helped
me with my connectivity with an NT box over 10BaseT. The issue
was partly in addressing and netmasks but also making sure the
ethernet was configured right and keeping the NT box with a
faked address off the internet. Also people showed me how
to get ping to work from both ends while staying off the internet.
I now have it largely working due to the many people who pointed out
that arp makes the routing problem moot when it's point to point
ether as it was.

This solution worked and I am in their debt as well as the others who
showed me neet stuff like the subnet addresses that by convention can be
abused somewhat on the real internt and expermented with (I'm still a
little hazy on that one).

The next hurdle is to make the alpha the NT's router to the worlld,
but I can't do this until I take carre of nameserver business
as I just got my own domain and I need to get my zone file
working right. I also need to get an ip address assinged by my ISP for
the NT so that it can be born unto the internet.

I'ms sorry I can't name each person who helped. This is due to sheer
stupidity on my part -- I trashed my disk when I allowed /var to
migrate onto /usr/var on a reinstall -- the reasons for doing I'd
rather not explain.

Regards,
 Avi

May all your algorihms be O(n ^ 1/2) worst case -- in both space and
