Hi people,

One of our ds10's stopped booting with some
messages (see below).
The machine has:
2 4gb scsi disks UW single ended
1 kzpba-ca UW single ended scsi adapter
1 kzpba-cb UW differential scsi adapter
        1 sn-pbxgb-aa graphics adapter

When the machine was working "/sbin/hwmgr -view hierarchy"
gave the following output:

   [.....]
                connection pci0slot13
                  ide_adapter ata0
                        scsi_bus scsi0
                          disk ..... cdrom0
                        scsi_bus scsi1
                connection pci0slot14
                  scsi_adapter isp0
                        scsi_bus scsi2
                          disk ..... dsk0
                          disk ..... dsk1
                connection pci0slot15
                  graphics_controller comet1
                connection pci0slot16
                  scsi_adapter isp1
                        scsi_bus scsi3

Now the problem is:
############ boot messages ################
                scsi0 at ata0 slot 0
                scsi1 at ata0 slot 1
                isp0 at pci0 slot 14
                isp0: QLOGIC IPS1040B/V2
                ips0: Firmware Revision 5.57
                ips0: Fast RAM timing enabled
                scsi2 at isp0 slot 0
                comet1 at pci0 slot15
                isp1 at pci0 slot 16
                isp1: QLOGIC IPS1040B/V2
                ips1: Firmware Revision 5.57 - Differential mode
                ips1: Fast RAM timing enabled
                ### NOTE AT THE BOTTOM ###
CP - SAVE_TERM routine to be called
                CP - SAVE_TERM exited with hlt_req = 1, r0 = 00000000.00000000

                halted CPU 0

                halt code = 5
                HALT instruction executed
                PC = fffffc00004a2c10

### BOTTOM NOTE
-at this point the boot process switches graphics mode,
        -prints something about scsi3,
-goes back into initial graphics mode erasing what it
          had written about scsi3

I suppose the differential controller went dead but am not sure.
If this is the case, can I open the machine and take out the controller
_without losing my warranty_ ;-)
Many thanks for your help.

Zac
