Hej Unix managers

I am writting to us maillingslist because i want to heare about yours
experience with different backupsoftware and dabases. You must sorry my
english, but english is not my primary language. The reason i am askning
is because we about to convert our nt/alpha(1000A 300 with 392 MB Ram)
to a Tru64, and i dont have any experience with backupsoftware and
database for Tru64.

Database:
We have earlier used Microsoft SQL Server ver. 6.5 on our nt/alpha. The
requirement we have to the database is, that everything schall could be
managed by a web-browser. The things the user schall doe true the
web-browser is: Makeing a database, tabels, query and rapport, and then
integrate the database into a html page. The security matter is also a
big thing for us. The user that is logged into the database must only
could see his/he databases.

We offer web-hostning for our memberorganisations, and we have some bad
experience with makeing databases(MS SQL Server) for our
memberorganisations, and after integrate the database(MS SQL Server)
with html pages.

Backupsoftware:
We are useing Seagate Backupexec ver. 7.0 now to backup our server. The
things that the backupsoftware schall doe is take a full backup every
night incl. a running database. I dont have precedence. The tapedevice
is a DEC TLZ09.

The mashine is also acting as a webserver, mailserver etc. but we dont
have any performance problems.

I hope to hear from your. Please feel free to contact me for further
informations.

Thanks in advance.
