For more efficient performance, we actually spread the large
database of one of our main applications over many smaller
stripped disks, and this improved our I/O bottleneck situation .
Looking for faster small disks in the Storage Works Home PAge
I found DS-RZ1CD-VW (4.3GB 10000 rpm 16 bit disk drive) but
some resellers tell me that these disks are discontinued.
I would like to know :
1. Are DS-RZ1CD-VW discontinued by Compaq?
2. Are there other 10000rpm or faster smaller ( 2 or 4Gb) disks
available?
Any comment, suggestion, site to look for info will be deeply
appreciated
