This is probably a very basic UNIX question, but my UNIX knowledge is very
limited.
I have three Alpha 4100's in a TruCluster environment. Currently I can send
mail to the users on each individual Alpha server, but not to users on the
other Alpha servers. These servers are also on the same network as our
NetWare and NT servers. We have an NT based e-mail server which we use for
our internet e-mail, which is what we use for our in-house e-mail as well.
I need to be able to send mail from the Alpha servers to users on our
internal network as well as the outside world. Some users will be on both
the Alpha servers and the Novell/NT servers and will have the same name -
i.e. lphillips
On users individual workstations (running Windows 98 or NT) we just set the
e-mail client up with user information, e-mail server information, etc...
Is there a way to set this information up on the Alpha servers so I can send
mail from the Alpha servers to a user on the Internet (name_at_company.com)?
I don't want to configure the Alpha server(s) to be e-mail servers, just be
able to send or receive e-mail using our existing e-mail server.
Any help on getting this configured will be appreciated!
Lisa
