There has been a lot of answers but here are some of them...

For switching between ENHANCED and BASE security levels, use "secsetup".
BTW,
you can still manipulate user accounts at will, see commands: "edauth",
"authck", "convauth", "convuser" and "vipw".

/var/spool/mail/<username> is the standard MBX for
UNIX and
mail is delivered via /bin/mail. There are other MBox formats and other
delivery
processes, like "spop" or "Cyrus IMAP", that use their own MBox format.

I haven't been able to solve the problem myself, but I'll let you know if I
do...
