SUMMARY: Change monitors?

Answer:
Certain suffixes of VR299s are incompatible. (we have VR299-DA) They were
designed for the lower frequencies used by VAXstation-31xx systems at
1024x768 resolution. All the DEC 3000-xxx systems' displays run at
1280x1024 resolution, which requires higher scanning rates. Monitors were
sometimes specific to the graphics adapter, and NONE
of the monitors were "industry standard".

Someone suggesting being able to change tga_sync_green, etc settings at the
srm >>> level, but these machines had no such setting to change.
It was also suggested to check the video card for a jumper to change the
frequency.
(The video is onboard the DEC 3000... only jumpers on mb labeled as W1 W2 &
W3, I'm doubting these help... I don't know what they are related to)

One use would be to get a converter from 3bnc to a PC vga if the monitor is
capable of analog/composite TTL.

was hoping to replace some B&W's that were poor.
