Greetings--
Through looking at the web and such, it seems that I am the only person
on the planet having trouble getting gcc compiled under Tru64 4.0f. I have
a fresh, virgin, default install on my lx164 (ev56) with all the
trimmings(18G disk, 1G mem, 10/100tulip). I download gcc-core-2.95 and try
to compile it. configure succeeds. However, a make bootstrap dies quickly
as the compiler cannot find <stdio.h>.
I have also tried the egcs from the freeware, gcc2.8.1, etc... and all of
them croak for some reason. Is there something basic that I'm forgetting?
(I'm new to Digital UNIX, but am fluent in most other UNIX's)
HELP!! Thanks.
