It seems to me that disk quotas do not work on UFS filesystems at
Tru64 UNIX V5.0. Has anobody noticed this, or knows a solution?
Quotas do not work:
(1) as if quotaon was never used
(2) quotacheck does not reset both counts to zero for unnamed UIDs: works
fine for named UIDs, or when one count only is zero
(3) repquota does not show entries with 0 blocks used (though files used)
Test with:
cd /usr
cp /usr/dict/words silly; chown 9876 silly
repquota -a -v; quotacheck -a -v; repquota -a -v
rm silly
repquota -a -v; quotacheck -a -v; repquota -a -v
touch silly; chown 9876 silly
repquota -a -v; quotacheck -a -v; repquota -a -v
rm silly
Our local Compaq people have reproduced the problem, and sent it to
engineering over 3 weeks ago...
