Dear Managers,
This weekend there is going to be a scheduled power shutdown on our
campus. I would like to schedule a controlled shutdown without having to
send someone in at unsocial hours. Are there any gotchas with using 'at'
to do this? Like the shutdown command insisting on talking to a terminal
device? I don't have any chance to practise this!
The shutdown command I plan to use is:
/usr/sbin/shutdown -h +5 "Campus power shutdown, back up about 13:15"
Thanks,
Bob
