Hello, Tru64 Managers!
Here is where I stand in my project to convert one of my two AlphaPC 164SX
boxes from AlphaNT to Tru64
Hardware: AlphaPC 164SX, 128 MB PC100 SDRAM, QLogic U/W HVD SCSI
controller, 9 gig U/W HVD HDD, 40x ATAPI CD, Matrox Millenium II video card
(to be run in SVGA mode). Yeah, I know on the 164SX the IDE ports are hung
off the ISA bus (which causes 4 PCI interrupts for every ISA interrupt);
but the CD is really only for loading the OS and apps...
Flashed from AlphaBIOS 5.70 to SRM 5.5, power cycle;
>>>show device
dka0.0.0.7.0 DKA0 QUANTUM XP39100WD LXY4
dqa0.0.0.108.0 DQAO ATAPI 40X CD CDROM DRIVE VER 2.B1
dva0.0.0.0.0 DVAO
pka0.7.0.7 PKA0 SCSI Bus ID 7 5.57
>>>boot DQA0
(boot dqa0.0.0.108.0)
block 0 of dqa0.0.0.108.0 is a valid boot block
reading 16 blocks from dqa0.0.0.108.0
base=200000, image_start = 0, image_bytes = 2000
initializing HWRPB at 2000
initializing page table at 7ff0000
initializing machine state
setting affinity to the primary CPU
jumping to bootstrap code
And here is where it hangs...
Any suggestions?
Yours truly,
Daniel L. Schwartz,
Electrical Engineer.
