Local printer

Hi,

I am trying to set up a local printer that is attached to my desktop to
print from Oracle Applications which is installed on my Alpha 4100 server.
I have been told by support that in order to do this that I would need some
kind of line printer daemon software to be installed on my Windows client.

So far I have used lprsetup to setup the local printer and set the device
name to /dev/lp0. If I try to print from the unix prompt, I get the
following message when I execute lpc status,

homehp:
printer is on device '/dev/lp0' speed -1
        queuing is enabled
        printing is enabled
        1 entry in spool area
Thu Dec 16 16:50:20 1999: waiting for homehp to become ready
(offline ?)

Is anyone familiar with this software or have any suggestions on how to set
up this local printer?

Thanks.
