Bouncing mail while pop mailbox locked

I posted this a few days ago and I'm still unsure what the practical
solution is:

So far, the most interresting possible fix seems to be the one suggested by
Paul A. Sand:

>> We have a similar setup. In our .mc file, we have

>> define(`LOCAL_MAILER_ARGS', `procmail -t -Y -a $h -d $u')

>> The -t option to procmail makes it requeue on an error. We generally

I put that extra -t switch in and I don't know yet if it makes any
difference, but I will keep it under observation for the time being.

But I was wondering if anyone would happen to have a hold of a more recent
copy of that POP server, the one that is (or was) supported by Digital with
DU4.0, the one I have is the one that came with DU4.0b.
What I would like to find is the latest copy of it as a tarball so I could
install it, there seems to be no place to find this anywhere and I've
reviewed several alternatives to replace it but it would be disruptive to
the user's mail and they are too different, this POP server uses its own
password file and not the system's passwd, so I'd rather just update, there
isn't much to improve on the pop system, just get the few bugs taken care
of, and there is one that I wish would be also fixed, some mail stays in the
mailboxes and stays ignored by some mail clients such as netscape
communicator 4.6 and after, and maybe ms-outlook98.

Isn't there a tarball of it somewhere?
