I thought I had installed the appropriate packages, but it turned out I
had missed OSFXMIT4xx (where xx is the revision of the system). No
additional license is needed beyond the developer's toolkit which is
needed to use the C compiler, debugger, etc.
Information on how to install the package can be found in the setld man
page.
In general you can find out what package a file is in by doing
grep <filename> /usr/.smdb./*.inv
I apologize for not RTFM first. I could have answered this one myself if
I had read the Tru64 docs and looked through the archives of this mailing
list.
