Dear Managers:
I need to confirm some data I have collected from monitoring
the SCSI IO bus load from some HSZ controllers:
1. IO throughput from a KZPSA to a HSZ50 controller
no more than 6MB/s.
2. IO throughput form a KZPCB to a HSZ70 contoller
no more than 11MB/s
I have collected this numbers from a console connected
to the HSZs controllers and running the vtdpy utility
that comes in the Controller Software.
The Numbers show that the BUS won´t ever go beyond 25%
of the Max theoretical bus capacity
(20MB for SCSI and 40MB for USCSI)
¿is this a FACT ?
¿Has anybody been able to see higher numbers
on their controllers ?
Another enquiry
What is the REAL (not theoretical) maximum recommended
bus transfers for a USCSI Disk connected to a HSZ70
in a RA7000
I ´ve been able to see sustained transfers of 2MB/s
but this generated a queue of 3 or 4 requests.
Isn´t 2MB/s small enough for a 7200 rpm disk ?
Thanks
for any comment.
