It was about my timezone settings
i changed the /etc/timezone/localtime link (it was the timezone of my
country) to the GMT.... one (which nearest me)and it's working now.

Subject: ntp problem
Hi all,
I've a problem about my Network Time Protocol configuration on a machine
running Tru64 v.40f (It'll be an NTP client and the server is on another
subnet) . I made the conf. and everything looks fine but when i restarted
the machine, it tried to run 'ntpdate' and failed. In somewhere of the
manual pages, it says that if my server and client are on other subnets, i
must run gated or routed daemon (it says, server must be reachable from the
client at startup for the explanation of this warning ). But it is
reachable. Is there anyone who came across the similar problem ? Can you
help me about it ? Thanks...
derya
