Hi everyone,

This question is regarding remote management using the
console ports. I am planning to do the following, just
wanted to make sure it was practical.

We have 3 Alphaservers the following was my plan:

1. Connect a serial cable from Alpha1 to Alpha2
Console Port
2. Connect a serial cable from Alpha2 to Alpha3
Console Port
3. Connect a serial cable from Alpha3 to Alpha1
Console Port.

The assumption was that if any one of the systems
crashes, then I could log on from the other Alpha
(using Unix TIP?) and troubleshoot from the console
level without physically being near the Alpha. Of
course if there were multiple failures I would be SOL.

Is there a better way to accomplish this? Am I missing
something?

Thanks In Advance..
Ashok
