how to monitor actual usage of sysconfigtab limits

Hi!

Every now and then we run into the problem that certain sysconfigtab
parameter limits (usually ipc or proc subsystem) are exceeded.
The result is that the application fails and we get a warning in
/var/adm/messages.

Is it possible to monitor these parameters every now & then so we can fix
the problem before it becomes a problem ?

I suppose the best way is using kdbx/dbx, since the error messages in
/var/adm/messages are logged by the kernel (and hence, it must have those
values stored somewhere), but a quick look at the possible features in kdbx
didn't reveal where to find them.

Anyone with some knowledge about this ?
