Hi-
I just upgraded my AS1000A to Tru64 4.0G and installed the SCSI CAM
product from the Associated Products CDROM. This creates a directory
/usr/opt/CLC315/mc containing kernel object files which appear to
be designed for various revs of the OS, and a link to a particular
object for the *current* OS:
% ls -la /usr/opt/CLC315/mc
total 757
drwxr-xr-x 3 bin bin 512 Jan 9 12:14 .
drwxr-xr-x 7 bin bin 512 Jan 9 12:14 ..
-rw-r--r-- 1 bin bin 257760 Mar 12 1999 cam_changer.3.0.o
-rw-r--r-- 1 bin bin 158251 Mar 12 1999 cam_changer.4.0.o
-rw-r--r-- 1 bin bin 153156 Mar 25 1999 cam_changer.4.0D.o
-rw-r--r-- 1 bin bin 155242 Mar 12 1999 cam_changer.4.0F.o
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root bin 18 Jan 9 12:14 cam_changer.o -> cam_changer.4.0F.o
drwxr-xr-x 2 bin bin 512 Jan 9 12:14 doc
-rw-r--r-- 1 bin bin 56 Mar 12 1999 files
-rw-r--r-- 1 bin bin 947 Mar 12 1999 stanza.static
There is a SCSI CAM patch in the 4.0G section of the support ftp site that
provides a replacement version of the 'cam_changer.4.0D.o'
The question is, do I really need to install this patch under Tru64 4.0G
if the 'cam_changer.o' object the kernel is built with 'cam_changer.4.0F.o'?
Thanks,
Toni
