upgrade 4.0E -> 5.0A

We need to upgrade our Alpha 8400 from 4.0e to 5.0A. I understand that
disk naming has changed in 5.0A. Will the upgrade automatically change
names in /etc/fstab and /etc/fdmns directory or is it something I have
to do after upgrade? We are eventually planning on clustering this with
a GS140 running 5.0A.
