Binary Compatibility (4.0x & 5.1)

Hello,

Has anyone experienced any problems with binary incompatibilities upgrading
from version 4.0x to 5.x? I am worried about 3rd party software such as
Oracle 8i or iPlanet's Web Server maybe not running properly after an update
installation.
