Hi managers,
As I wanted to install DU 5.0A on Alphastation 255, I used the firmware
upgrade CD( FW upgrade CD 5.7 ,March 2000) to successfully upgrae the FW
.After this when I tried to install DU 5.0A as a fresh install, the
installer complaints about not finding any disks on the workstation.From the
SRM console prompt I can see one disk as dka0, but isntaller does not
recognise it.I also got the error message that it could not convert SCSI
target into number.
So the question is, could there be any hardware problem with the disk( the
machine was not in use for a long time and it does not have any information
on it) or am I missing something here.
I did not do any hardware config after FW upgrade since this is a SCSI disk.
Any help is appriciated,though I know that the information which I am
providing is very general in nature.
