Hey Managers!!!
Two problems in one week, what can I say I am on a role! As you were all so
excellent in your advice on the last one......
I have set up a pair of Windows 2000 Servers that are fully functioning as
DNS Servers for our network. To allow my DEC Alpha access to utilize these
services I added the following lines to the resolv.conf file....
domain ourdomain.com
search ourdomain.com
nameserver 172.17.0.10
nameserver 172.17.0.11
Now, when I ping I get the error that no host was found, YET, when I perform
an nslookup on the same host it provides me with all the correct
information.......Where have I gone wrong?
