O.K. wizards, gurus, etc., I'm stuck and I can't see what I'm missing. I'm
attempting to 'join' two files, with a common field and it only joins up the
first two lines. I deleted the second line of each file and then it joined
on the 1st, 3rd and last lines.
I then went a step farther and copied file #1 to file #2, so they're
identical, that too only displays the first two lines. What am I missing? Is
a special character in this file that is causing it to fail? I've even
looked at hex dumps of both files to verify there isn't a nonprintable
character in the files.
Thanks in advance, I'll summarize once I learn what I've missed,
Gary
