Remote printing to hp-IV unknown host error

I had a user change his hpIII out for an hp-IV with the jetdirect card. I had
him setup to print on a development and a production Tru64 machine. I used the
printconfig gui on development first and after a little tweaking, got him
printing just fine. I added the exact same information into the production
machine and I get the following error in the lperr file every time I try a test
print.

/usr/lbin/lpd: unknown host node.xxx.yyyyy.com

I can ping the printer and telnet to it yet this message is in the lp error
file. I used the fully qualified name on both development and production. I
use the dns box name in the /etc/hosts file for address translation so they both
should see the host. It is probably something simple I am not seeing.

If anyone has any ideas please contact and I will summarize.
