Original posting in the bottom:

There is a possibility that you can find out the number of simms through the
binary errorlog (read with decevent, or uerf). However, this is only
possible if there are memory entries in your binary.errlog and this doesn't
has to be the case.

There are no other ways to find out the number of simms from within Unix.
The only option available will be to look at the bootprompt (>>>)

Hello Admins,

I am trying to find out on the Unix level (i.o.w. without opening the box)
how many memory modules we have in one of our 2100's. I did this before on
other type of systems and in those cases the decevent output would often
give me the info I needed. For this system I don't seem to be getting the
memory info from the decevent (v 2.9) however.

Does anyone knows how to accomplish this task ?

Machine is running 4.0-D with PK 6
