Hi
Thanks to Ettore Aldrovandi and Knut Hellebo for replying.
The conlcusion seem to be that there is no such equivalent
command for tru64.
A similar thing of that might be rcmgr but that does not do that
kind of thing that chkconfig does in linux.
For example even that i have this in my rc.config
-------------------------
BIND_CONF="NO"
export BIND_CONF
BIND_SERVERTYPE="CLIENT"
export "BIND_SERVERTYPE"
BIND_SERVERARGS="NOTCONFIGURED"
export BIND_SERVERARGS
---------------------------------
i am running a name server in my machine.
So it is not said that someone can control fully
the state of a service by rcmgr modyfing rc.config.
Here is my original question.

Hi all menagers
I am running tru64 4F.0
There is a command in linux systems
that is called chkconfig and is used to mark a certain service
up or down at a certain level
#chkconfig -level n service up or down
I know that it could be done with changing the letters S or K
after my needs at the desired level or removing the symbolic links at
all
But i wanted to know if there is such utitliy in tru64 unix that
could do such a job
thanks
hysen
