FINAL SUMMARY: Visio stencils

More than 70 list members requested the WinZIP file. I created a URL
http://communities.msn.com/unixresources (I apologize for using MSN) and posted
three files - stencils_[1-3].zip (the site would not let me upload a single file
larger than 1.01MB). I tried to play around with the settings to allow a "no
questions asked" download to no avail (if you know how to do it, let me know).
If you want to get the files, you have to get to the URL mentioned above, click
on "Join Now" tab, click on "Get a Passport" (if you don't have one), fill out
a form, click, join the site and get the files.

I can't send the 3MB file to the whole list as it is against the list rules.

Good Luck!

My apology to the list.

The file appears to be a home grown file and not a standard Visio distribution,
at least the shapes I opened so far look home grown. Let me know if you are
still interested. So far I received more than 30 requests. The shapes are good
enough for my needs.

Thank you to Tom Devine and Mark Deiss.

Tom has sent me a WinZIP file with plenty of stencils for newer COMPAQ
equipment. This file is almost 3MB in size, so if you need it, let me know. I
decide not to send it to the whole list as it will generate too much traffic.

Mark suggested than Visio should permit import of standard image formats, vector
drawings, raster etc. One can find a pdf document on Compaq site covering those
boxes with Adobe images. These images can be cut out and imported/converted
into Visio. I have not tried this approach yet, but it sounds like a solution
for future needs.

Dear SysAdms,

I need to find Visio shapes for ES40 and RA8000 cabinets. Searched through
1999, 2000 and 2001 archives, but found no references. Do you know of any links
to check?

Thank you for your help,
