trucluster load balancing info

In a two node trucluster, which node do daemons like telnet, ftp, http
etc run on? Since these control which node user submitted jobs run on it
would be nice if they are somehow balanced across nodes. I would also
like to get some general sense of how processes get assigned to either
node.
