Does anyone have a procedure for a complete disaster recovery on a 5.0A
patchkit 2 system? I need to be able to restore a full backup, including the
OS, of one system to another system w/ similar hardware.
My procedure is to:
1) Vdump all filesystems on source server to tape.
2) Boot from CD on target server, create partitions, and restore data from
tape.
3) Boot target server
4) Remap all of the disks back to their original device names using "dsfmgr
-m dskOLD dskNEW" and "hwmgr -del scsi -did X".
However when I boot the target server I get the following error:
# dn_setup -boot
dsfmgr: NOTE: updating kernel basenames and old devnames for system at /
dsfmgr: verify all datum for system at /

Any help is appreciated.
