Hej

Sorry for the late summary, but I has been hit by work since i was
asking about the umask commando.

For the first I will say thankyou for the very quickly repsonse i got
from this e-maillist.

Many thanks to for they quick response to me:
Mr. Robert Fridman
Mr. William H. Magill
Dr. Thomas Blinn
Mr. Bob Vickers
Mr. Carsten Udsen
Mr. Olle Eriksson

The messages to me was that umask and chmod use the opposite
specifications.

umask 077
#
# -rwx------ Owner: permit - read, write, execute(search)
# Group: prevent all access
# World: prevent all access

is equilvant to chmod 700

I also found a url from the Tru64 documentation wich explained it pretty
good.
http://tru64unix.compaq.com/faqs/publications/base_doc/DOCUMENTATION/V51_HTML/ARH91ATE/CHCCSSXX.HTM

Thanks again for the quick repsonse.

Best regards
Anders Trier Rasmussen
