SUMMARY: Time Zone Question

From: bac <bac20000_at_yahoo.com>

The question was:

I installed Tru64 5.1 on my machine (XP1000).
I am absolutely positive that I set the time zone
correctly (America (US)/Los Angeles)-PST.

The computer is an NTP client.

The date is always returned in Eastern Standard time
though.....even when I try to run the timezone command
to change it back to PST.

What do i do to fix this?

THANKS to the following people for excellent
suggestions:

Clegg, Larry
Izzet Ergas
Klenotiz, Bob
Sutton, John
Warren.Liang

The softlink /etc/zoneinfo/localtime was still
pointing to the Eastern Standard Time.

I just did the following:

ls -sf /etc/zoneinfo/US/Pacific
/etc/zoneinfo/localtime
