Thanx to the quick responses from Brian Staab and John P. Speno!

It's the -a option to volrootmir that will mirror the root disk including
root,
primary swap and ANY other partitions that are on the boot disk.

It seems I just overlooked this option.
Thanks for the replies!

Regards,
Alex

Subject: volrootmir question

Hi all,

(DS20 - Tru64 V5.1 - using LSM)
How to mirror an OS-disk, containing another filedomain/-set?
On the OS disk there is, besides the os, another domain for application
software.
I'd like to mirror this disk, but I think 'volrootmir' will only mirror the
areas necessary to boot from another disk.
os is on /dev/disk/dsk0; extra domain is on/dev/disk/dsk0f

What steps to mirror this complete disk to /dev/disk/dsk1 (if possible)? I'd
like to be able to boot from it too...
should the complete disk be in rootdg?
Maybe it is wiser to get the extra domain off the os disk / add new disk for
that software...

Tia for help/suggestions.

regards,
Alex Harkema
