Hi there gurus.
I have a question about the advfs "chvol" command that doesn't seem to
be documented anywhere. (man pages or this list)
Question:
Can the chvol command be used while the system is up or is it a command
best to be used in single user mode. What are the ramifications in
changing the I/O read write blocks while the system is in full user
mode.
The reason I ask is because after running the application sys_check it
recommended to increase the I/O transfer for the advfs files sytems.
This makes sense for increasing transfer speeds which our site could do
with. I just need to know if this is a weekend outage type of job or can
it be done at some point when the system is not in heavy usage.
I will sumup for the list.
Thanks in advance.
