Can date be set from firmware? (can't set it to 2001 b/c of y2k a nd 3.2c)

I need to set the date to 2001. Any way to do this in 3.2c

I now know what the y2k issue with date and DU 3.2c is.
The time/date work great, if they were set prior to 2000.

HELP.
