Hi all,

It was really a silly question, when searching through the man pages
I overlook the 3rd line at the beginning of vrestore

Thanks to
Daniel Clar: vrestore -t

some other helpful hints:
Kai Grunau: use tcopy to analyze your tape
Paul Sand: I have used /usr/field/tapex -m
Joerg Bruehe: My idea is to read the tape "dd into /dev/null"
          and use block counter output

Question was:

sorry for that probably stupid question. I have tapes written with vdump.
I want to know how many Bytes the different savesets have on that tape.
What is the proper command for that?

Many thanks for the fast replies.

Regards
Otto
