The verdict is in, a 4 node ES40 cluster NEEDS 6 disks
to function. Compaq has finally seen the light and
is adding two drives. (original message below)

Hi,
Due to a change in Tru64 from 5.0->5.1, I have to run Trucluster
in order to use the Memory Channel hardware connecting 4 ES40s.
Since this wasn't in the original purchase, Compaq is supplying
the H/W necessary to build the cluster (SCSI cards, Cables, SSB
enclosure and 4 disks on a shared bus). However, I can't figure
out how to setup a 4 member cluster with only 4 shared disks.
The way I read the manuals I'd need minimum 5: 1 shared resources
and 4 boot. Or 6 if I want to have a quorum disk too. Can someone
tell me if it's possible or if I really do need 2 more disks?
thanks,
jim
