Thank you all for your help... I know it was a lot to ask... I was grasping...
"Time of death called at 5:50pm, Monday March 5th."

I tried everything, replacing disk, replacing cables, hard reset, removing
all external drives.
It still resulted in a partial boot, then when it went to use swap and run
fsck... timeouts...
I've conceded that the scsi controller on-board this old motherboard went
bad, and repair would take too much time and too costly for such an old
machine...

Good thing is, all user data was already moved to a new server, and all the
disks/email/data on this machine is still good.

So I've started the mess of moving each service this one did to a new
server. The users are screaming, but being somewhat patient.

Thanks again,
Dan
