You would not beleive how many responses I got 24 and all said the same
thing.
xntpd. That is the program that is used to set clocks to an internet time
protocol.
I read the man pages and also looked at the links. It looks like a good
program but all of the stuff is not written for newbies. It is hard for my
little brain to comprehend.

so the answer is use man xntpd or xntp or ntp or equiv. Thanks to all who
