People,
My apologies for the delay, ran out on vacation. The solution....
When installupdate runs, if you let it default build the kernel, it won't
build in CDFS. Bring the system up to multi-user so it can dynamically load
the CDFS driver (What does OSF use ELF?), take the system down to single
user, upgrade, and manually build the kernel.
Once again done over by a kernel build, you would think after all these
decades one would learn. I am taking myself out back to be flogged.
Thanks once again for all the suggestions and comments.
Kind Regards,
Guy
