would anybody have any idea about reading a cpio backup of HP-UX onto my
Digital Unix 4.0D Alpha 1000 box and whether it is possible
The messages I am getting
# cpio -ivt -I/dev/nrmt1h|head -n 100

cpio: [offset 46k+12]: Bad magic number
cpio: etc/telnetd : May be corrupt
cpio: [offset 51k+699]: Apparently resynchronized
cpio: etc/dt/config : Continuing
cpio: [offset 54k+584]: Bad magic number
cpio: etc/dt/config/Xservers : May be corrupt
cpio: [offset 55k+613]: Apparently resynchronized
cpio: etc/hpC2400/arraymon.hdr : Continuing
If anybody has done this before I would be grateful for some advice..
