Do you mean run a CPU as a networker server client AND a single server?
Yes., The legato licenses all go on the server. So the server gets all the
client licenses and the client gets the one single-server license.

Yes it should be possible as it is possible for one networker server to be a
client of another server.
Your case is a particular case for the one above.
Just install networker single server on your client and remember to add your
network server's name in /nsr/nsrhost to allow it to backup your system.
