Thank you very much Dr. Thomas Blinn and Alan Nabeth.

The question:

It is best to keep the release of Associated Products with the OS release
consistant. In other words, don't mix and match.

Dr. Thomas Blinn replies:
Depends on the particular product. In general, safest to match them up,
that's why there is a new AP CD for each version, and it's in the box
with the base OS. Using a V4.0F kit with V4.0G is a bit safer for some
of the products, but not all of them.

Alan Nabeth replies:
The Associated Product CDROM set was created because
many layered products have very tight dependencies on
particular versions of the operating system. These
product have to recompiled and released with their
corresponding version of the operating system. It
would be unwise to try and mix versions. When the
versions don't get along, they can crash your system
very, very quickly.
