SUMMARY: moving HSG80 disk to HSG60

Hi again.

My original question is below:

Well it turned out to be possible to move the data. Thanks to:

and especially

Apparently, the HSG60 INITIALIZE command doesn't destroy the data in
the raidset, it just updates the metadata. I had to move the disks
and then "run config" to find the new drives, create the raidset,
INITIALIZE the raidset (the part I was missing), and create the partitions.
After that, I used wwidmgr from the alpha firmware to re-create the
dga* devices. TRU64 5.1 still couldn't see the devices, but a COMPAQ
"Best Practices" documant on restoring the root disk:

http://tru64unix.compaq.com/faqs/publications/best_practices/BP_RECROOT/TITL
E.HTM

provided the missing information. After booting in single user mode
I had to run "/sbin/mountroot" to find the devices and
"dsfmgr -e dsk4 0" to rename the new devices to the old names. After
that /sbin/bcheckrc was able to mount all the disks, and the data
appears to be intact. Many thanks to all who helped.
