Hi all,
I would like some advice on a bootp/tftp problem we are experiencing with a
alpha 1200 running 4.0G
We have a rack mounted piece of equipment that requires a bootp boot. This
takes place across two subnets thru a DEC900EF standalone. One network is a
fddi ring attached to the alpha server and the other is 10 base2 connected
to the rack.
We believe that the bootp is working ok, as we have tried a similar alpha on
the same fddi network and its ok. But when we require the bootp/ and tftp
transfer to take place across the router _DEC900ef from one subnet to the
other I get a message which says.
I have placed a DPWS 433au on the 10base2 network and have tried to do a
tftp across the 900EF but receive
Error Code 2: access violation.
Can anyone help me track down the meaning of this, or tell me what is going
on.
