Clarification with openldap and enhanced security...

Hello...

I've been doing some testing with the openldap and ldap auth. module from
the tru64 osis 5.4 cd. The enable auth. module is failing because my server
is running enhanced security. Is there anyway around this?

With ldap, I assume that the usernames/passwords will be in the ldap database
and therefore secure from snooping. But - if I can't use enhanced security,
then my local /etc/passwd will have viewable root, system, etc password
entries which could be cracked. My goal is to run the ldap server on
a tru64 server but point linux boxes to it for their authentication.

Thanks for any notes you can send my way....have a nice day!
