Original post:

I have set up LDAP login authentication on Tru64 4.0f and Digital Unix 4.0d.
I have installed OSIS 5.0 for the 4.0d machine and OSIS 5.3 on 4.0f.
It all works. My questions are:
1) Can the client be configured to use LDAP v3 instead of v2?
2) Can the authentication module on the client use the RFC 2307 fields for
    shadowLastChange,shadowMin,shadowMax and such?

Answers:
The only responder to my query was David Lindner,
and his input was:

1) The client can not be configured to talk LDAP v3 however
it does negotiate v3 automatically if that is what the server wants to
talk.
    The default is v2.
2) No, Tru64 does not support these fields. However a future version may use
C2 type attributes to offer this functionality.

Many Thanks to David.
