As one finds in the archives the problem is that in vdump atime gives
errors with nfs mounted disks(e.g. ../1999-09/msg00377.html). Probably
introduced with Patch 4 to V4.0D(This is the status of the system
where I run the backups). I looked at Patch 8 but I found no particular
patch addressing that problem.
Question:
- are there some patches in patch 8 and which ones? (I don't want
and cannot in the moment run this whole really time consuming patch 8)
- or is there a single patch available?
Reason: The log files of my backups during the night reach by all the
error messages some 10 to 30MB and are so quite unusable (and the mails
fill up the root file system).
Regards
Otto
PS: One general question: If I want to apply patch 8 to a system with
patch 4 can I do this directly or do I have to remove the old patch
before?
