I recently purchased an old Dec Server 5000, and I didn't get a chance to
test it until today. It did not come with any manuals. Overall, the
hardware seems in working condition. The server came with NT Server, but I
want to install Tru64 Unix on it. I tried to boot the system off of the OS
cd-rom, but it never really boots up. I get a cpu panic every time. I hope
somebody have at least seen the error message. Yes, I've upgraded the
firmware to 5.4-2. When it didn't fix the problem, I downloaded the latest
from Compaq's website and upgraded to 5.9-5. The problem persists. I
appreciate any pointers, and will SUMMARIZE.
